Osaka trip - day 5

Osaka trip - day 5

Day 5 was basically chilling in the hotel room til check out, then head for the airport. There's a bus that'll take us straight to the airport from USJ, which is convenient. Our flight wasn't until the afternoon, but we didn't feel like dragging around our luggage around, especially since everywhere is going to be crowded with tourists.

I was feeling a bit better in the morning. I took some meds before I went to be the night before and looks like it helped. As I was packing, I found that a sock was missing. I thought I might have dropped it so I went to the laundry room to look for it. Nope, it wasn't there. Then I figured it got mixed up with the next person's laundry and lost forever, so I started packing without it. I went to the bathroom to get my loofah, and lo and behold, I solved the mystery of the missing sock. It was stuck on the velcro on my buddy's cargo shorts. That brought us a chuckle.

We finished packing, so it was time for breakfast. Mine was the leftover dumplings from the other day and hot tea. The laundry room had a microwave so I reheated the dumplings. My buddy went down to McDs to grab something. He came back with a hot apple pie since it was haunting him the whole time. Well, I kept asking if he wanted a hot apple pie every time we put in an order. LOL

We checked out and made our way to the bus stop. Taking a bus straight to the airport was much easier than dragging our luggage through the train stations. Costs a bit more, but well worth it. We got to the airport with plans to explore the shops, but there weren't as many shops as we hoped. But there were a couple of shops that sold yummy-looking sweets. I figured I'd get something to nibble on in the airplane.

After we finished browsing the shops and went through the security gates. His gate was close to mine and my flight was an hour later, so we hung out near his until his flight. His flight got called, so we hugged and thanked each other for a fun trip.

My flight went smoothly and I got home safe and sound. I crawled into bed as soon as I got home and slept like a log. I was so glad I was working from home for the next 3 business days since I was feeling poorly. Having the weekend in between the work days and sleeping 10-12 hours did wonders so I managed to drag myself to the office the week after.

Despite catching a bug, it was a good trip. I had heaps of fun in good company.
