Boomerang
For years now, I've been using an app called Boomerang to manage my Google email accounts on my Android smartphone. I can toggle between one account and another in a single app and schedule emails to go out, which comes in really handy when I want to email friends on their birthdays or send myself reminders for something.
The app recently added a scheduling feature for recurring emails, which has come in rather handy lately, which I'm sure some of you know exactly what I mean.
When using Boomerang in Android, I would recommend that the default browser is set to anything other than Chrome or the smartphone will automatically add whatever account you logged into to Android, which can seriously fuck things up, especially if you want to log into that account in other devices. Brave and Firefox works well.
I just now learned that there's even a browser extension, which could make scheduling emails on a laptop easier, too, should I decide to go all out psycho and schedule for an email to go out every hour on the hour.
Just sharing my user experience in the event anybody is looking for an email manager app with scheduling capabilities.

Every hour? From an anonymous address to a certain CEO, "You're still a loser."?
ReplyDeleteWell, you will need to integrate your Gmail addy with Boomerang, but yeah, that can be done. LoL
DeleteOr a special Gmail address just for that.
DeleteWicked LoL
DeleteYes. Evil would be every minute.
DeleteYou all are hysterical
DeleteGood to know given my recent venture into websites
ReplyDeleteThis app has come in handy, especially recently 😁
DeleteI hope a certain head of customer services is enjoying his boomeranging!
ReplyDeleteLMAO...Oh I just bet he's enjoying it.
DeletePretty sure his title is Butthead of Customer Disservice.
DeleteTotally agree. How can you have a head of customer service who refuses to communicate to customers?! Perhaps it's because we are ex-customers and are no longer worthy of a common courtesy of a reply to our emails.
DeleteI would argue that you're still a customer Bow, given you've paid for a year.
DeleteThat's true.
DeletePerhaps he needs to get an email every hour.
DeleteI'm sure the site would be thrilled to get Boomeranged every hour. LOL
DeleteIf they're consistent about addresses, first letter of first name then last name at ffn dot com, e.g. jbuckheit at ffn dot com
DeleteAre you talking about Jon Fuckheit who seems incapable of running a 'get laid tonight' site? If you're talking about Jon Buckheit, then, I must say he comes across as a bit of a fraud but the court will determine that.
DeleteI bet you Fuckheit is a Trump voter.
I love this level of uncensorship you get here.
Yes, but that address will fail.
DeleteYes, not soon enough.
Mind blowingly there are still millions of those.
Is question of if a limit. I've not read TOU.
The freedom of speech here is incredible.
DeleteApparently, the TOU was updated at the end of last month
DeleteAFF never told its members of its updated terms of use. Presumably AFF expects members to regularly re-read them.
DeleteIf the updated terms included those that you told us were in the pipeline, then what's how they got us!
FWIW, I meant TOU for here. AFF TOU updated Feb. 29, but I've not read yet.
DeleteSo, they updated the site's tou right before they banned us.
DeleteThe timing is surely coincidental! I'm being cynical now.
Delete15. Termination.
Delete(a) We reserve the right to terminate or restrict your access to or use of the Services, without notice or liability, for any or no reason whatsoever. ...
Thanks. AFF have well and truly got us all!
DeleteWelcome. I don't know if the "no reason" bit is new.
DeleteAccording to JN, AFF were planning to add to its terms of use that any criticism of the site won't be tolerated, or words to that effect. It could be those if incorporated that got us.
DeleteI didn't see words to that effect, but 15.(a) covers that.
Delete15 (a) covers everything beyond murder!
DeleteAnd obviates 'cause' per 12.(a)
Delete12. Your Conduct. You further agree not to use the Services to:
(a) upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available any Content that is unlawful (e.g., prostitution), harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortious, defamatory, obscene, libelous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable;
12 (a), I think, was part of the old terms.
DeleteGotta love "no reason whatsoever" 🙄
DeleteOh you beat me this time.
Delete*hehehe*
Delete12a was definitely part of the old. 15a is not one I'd seen in the past when I was in the Terms of Use reading them.
ReplyDelete15 (a) covers their backs regarding our bans.
DeleteIt does, but it's also a super shady trick
DeleteI'm sure the site uses the "no reason whatsoever" part of the TOU as an excuse to take people's money and then ban them. There are loads of complaints about that on sites people can leave reviews.
ReplyDeleteAll companies have their terms of use if online or terms of conditions if offline. Very few people read them because they hope they are reasonable and they perhaps don't envisage a dispute. But no such terms can remove legal rights or legal duties.
DeleteIs that part new? They had plenty of ways to do it before as some of 12(a) subject to perspective.
