Sakura sakura
Sakura sakura
Saturday was a lovely day and despite it being rainy and windy for half of the week, the cherry blossoms held on. It was probably because the temps were on the low side, too. I was having lunch with a friend so I woke up bright and early to go take pics and vids of the cherry blossoms.
I visited two parks that I always go to since they're within reasonable driving distance and have parking for my scooter. I snapped a few shots of cherry blossoms on the way, too. Neither park was crowded since it was still pretty early in the morning. I managed to catch a (not-so-great) vid of a nightingale. I managed to snap off a pic of it, too. It didn't turn out that too bad. Since the sucker was hopping along so quickly, I was surprised that I even got a half decent pic of the bird.
I figured out how to hook up the mount to my action camera. It took a bit of trial and error to get the angle to a point that it doesn't look like I'm driving into the trees. LOL I got a few vids of me riding my scooter along roads lined with sakura trees. Yes, we drive on the "wrong" side of the road here, so don't get anxious thinking I'm gonna run into another car or anything. LOL
My friend and I decided to try a curry place that was near where she lived, which was also close to one of the streets I took a vid of. The review of the restaurant was pretty good, but neither of us thought that the food was good enough to want to go back and try something else from their menu. I had the wagyu curry, but although it was spicy, it had a sweet aftertaste. The spiciness didn't linger like spicy curry usually does. Yeah, I'll stick with my favorite cafe when I feel like having curry.
We went to another cafe for coffee and dessert. Of course, we merrily yakked away for another couple of hours before she had to head home. I stopped by other streets I saw that were lined with sakura trees and took more pics. All in all, I only took about 300 pics and vids of the cherry blossoms 😂
