X marks the spot

This was brought to my attention by a buddy who was trying to figure out how to delete a comment from a photo in the profile (no can do at this time, tho). I went to take a look and lo and behold, there's an X logo where I was told it would be.

Profile - Photos/Albums tab - click on any photo - X logo next to Favorites

I clicked on the logo and it took me to a post on X, complete with a link to my album, hashtag #getlaid and @adultfriendfinder.

While the site's TOU basically says it can do whatever it wants with our content, personally, I think this has gone too far and is highly unethical, if not illegal. I very much doubt that this was something Andrew implemented. I wouldn't be surprised if this was implemented under the previous management at least a year ago as a last-ditch effort to raise revenue before they got booted out.

Since things are moving at a glacial pace for things that actually benefit users, I decided to post about this.

I think that this is a huge breach of trust on the site's side (not that there was much to start with), but I don't think there's a reason to freak out. I'm pretty sure any outsider clicking on the link in X will get hit with a paywall before they can go any further. If the horny dudes decide to sign up for membership thinking they're gonna get laid immediately, that's no different from horny dudes swallowing the marketing ads hook, line, and sinker, just to get disillusioned by the fact that there aren't enough real women seeking real connections because the women, in turn, got disillusioned from the toxicity produced from the ads insinuating that all women on this site will drop their panties for every dick that comes across their way.

It's part of a vicious cycle that the previous management started to lure horny dudes to pay for membership.

Maybe if there're enough users voicing their discontent about the logo/link, the management will decide to escalate the logo/link removal.

What say you?
