HNW--the 719th . . . Things that start with A or B

This week's theme is Things that start with A or B. B is for Birthday! It's my birthday month! 🥳

As part of my celebrations (?), I had to go to the driver's license center (something like the DMV) on Sunday to get my driver's license renewed. The center opens at 8:30am and I got there around 8am. There was already a loooooong line in front of the bay of machines. You insert your driver's license, input your PIN, and the machine spits out the application form you'll be using while you go from counter to counter to pay the fees, get your eyes tested, and confirm that nothing has changed since you last renewed the license. They'll issue the license after you take a class (watch a video). Those over 75yo have to take a driving test as well, although they encourage the elderly to give up driving. All this takes at least 2 hours.

After the ordeal, I treated myself to a chicken & waffles brunch. I was planning to grab a bite to eat somewhere along the way, but I ended up going to a place I like near where I live since I didn't see anything that looked interesting before I reached home turf.
