We care

We're working on getting reinstated. We know it'll take time. Lines were crossed and feathers got ruffled so it'll take time to smooth things out. 

We would really like for the site to understand that, despite our frustrations with the policies and direction the site is heading, we do care about the site and we want the site to thrive. We stayed with the site for decades because we were having fun in the community we helped build. We stayed because we care. We spent time and efforts beta testing new features because we care. The community welcomed us with open arms when we first joined. We would like to keep having a hand in to keep that community going so others will feel just as welcomed. 

It's not just about sex, it's the community. If it were just about sex, there are tons of options out there that don't charge for direct communication and the odds of hooking up are about the same. We don't get subjected to the plethora of dick pics at the other options, either. 

How many will stand up and say that they care about the site? We're fighting to get reinstated because we care. We care about the site and we care about the community. Many would just say fuck this shit and walk away. After all, there are other options out there, aren't there. Maybe not as feature-rich, but there are options. 

In my case, I have Blogger. My intent was never to grow followers. I mean, it's great for the ego if I gain followers who like my content, but it's not my prime objective. I just wanted somewhere I can express myself freely without worrying about inconsistent and arbitrary censorship.

So why am I fighting to get reinstated? Why are any of us fighting? Because we care. We care about the site we helped build. We care about the community we helped bring together. We want to keep the community going. That's why.
