Hide reported posts

I sent this to Tier 2 and added a few things for clarification:

----

Dear Tier 2 Support Team,

Since we've been seeing an influx of fake profiles in the blogs, maybe it would be good to have a feature that hides a post from view if a post is 1) reported using the Report option from the menu, and 2) if the Additional Details text box has more than 10 words entered, and 3) this should apply to level 4 and below.

The post should be hidden immediately from public view and hidden post will have a banner simply saying "Post under review" that is shown only to the blog owner.

Of course, you'll need to embed an exception for the registered models. A report will trigger a "Hide" function that hides the post only to the person reporting the post without the "under review" banner being shown in the model's blog. There should also be an exception for Club7 members.

That way, the reported posts won't be displayed in the  feed for hours and possibly causing damage before the team sifts through the reports and removes the reported posts accordingly.

On top of that, there are Community members in different time zones. One of us should be able to catch the fakes that fell through the cracks before too much damage is done.

Just my two cents.

Thanks and regards,

JN

  1. I will be surprised if you get more than "Thanks for the suggestion." and the usual boilerplate about how they take bots, spammers, etc. seriously.
